接到保长电话，说国家定基调了，不能唱衰欧元。欧元好了，对中国有利。——这个我明白！
他说所以，我们的基调就是爱沙尼亚加入欧元是对欧元打了强心针——然而实际是爱这么个小国，欧元的人民从来不觉得它加入对欧元有什么实质性的帮助
我以前的一个教授这样说：Estonia sends a signal to the market that they are prepared to make economic sacrifices to be able to stay within the Euro zone. I would believe there are also political reasons behind this decision: Estonia belonged to the Soviet block for a long period when a significant part of her population would have liked to be associated with Western economies.
To join the Euro now is also a political signal that Estonia chooses to be associated with the West whatever the cost. Since Estonia is a very small economy I do not think their membership will influence the credibility of the euro. Its credibility is much more dependent on how Portugal, Spain, and Italy are handling their present economic crisis.
